This is the last episode for the foreseeable future. Hunting season is starting for us, and we won’t have time for the weekly show.

We catch up with Michael in the Ohio edition of the fishing corner and jump into a few news items.

The Center for Biological Diversity and some other animal welfare groups filed a petition to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requesting to disqualify Montana and Idaho from receiving Pittman-Robertson funding because of their aggressive approach to wolf management.

At Utah Lake, The company, Lake Restoration Solutions, is planning a huge project to create 18,000 acres of artificial islands for real estate development. The company claims it will also improve the lake’s health, but many scientists argue otherwise.

The Montana Citizens’ Elk Management Collation is holding a symposium in Bozeman on August 13th to talk about ways people can influence elk management in the state.

For the deeper dive this week, Michael and Randy join in to talk about all of the hunts and stories we have lined up for this fall. It should be a great season.
